The Future of the Check In - Check In 2.0!

Facebook Places, Foursquare and just about every Social Networking seems to be focusing on location these days. But the problem is they all rely on some sort of check-in, whether it be manual check-in by the user or using the latest GPS/Geo-fencing based check-in.

Novitaz files second patent related to Brick and Mortar Session Managementement.

Jan 27, 2003 - Fremont, California: Novitaz's second patent in the Brick and Mortar CRM space further solidifies its position as the leader in this emerging space.

The invention extends all the richness of an e-commerce session to physical brick and mortar establishments. Session metrics captured in the e-commerce realm was very valuable. eTailers like Amazon.com have used it very effectively. However the dollar value of commerce transacted in Brick and Mortar stores is at least 25 times that of e-commerce. The utility value of session metrics at a Brick and Mortar realized by virtue of Novitaz`s invention will be so much more valuable than e-commerce session metrics.

As a second series of claim, this invention defines a meta data model to capture and communicate all aspects of a brick and mortar session. The XML based Meta Data model is broad enough to cover both the retail and restaurant industry. In the future it will be extended to banking and other industries.

Novitaz is pursuing an aggressive patent strategy. The patent filings encompass nearly every aspect of Novitaz`s technology. The claims have been drafted to broadly encompass the core features of Novitaz`s proprietary CRM system as well as block potential competitors from entering Novitaz`s market space.

We have worked closely with our patent firm to obtain the best patent protection possible. Information regarding the practitioners who prepared the patent application can be found at www.svipg.com.
